It is the season when spring is blooming again, and many parents begin to take their children to play games in outdoor playgrounds. On the one hand, the amusement facilities can meet the needs of children's sports development in all aspects, and on the other hand, they can also allow children to have more contact with children of different ages. Increase your child's social opportunities.

However, the safety awareness of children at the age of 2-3 is still very weak. As parents, we must do a good job of safety supervision and guidance. Here are some general principles. Parents can educate their children about the safety of outdoor play.

Understand The Safety Rules Of Playgrounds

① When your baby is playing on climbing frames, slides, seesaws, swings and other activity facilities, they cannot push others or play.

②According to the normal operating procedures, for example, when sliding down the slide, slide your feet down, don't flip over the slide from the outside railing, don't stand on the swing, etc.

③ If the baby jumps off an amusement equipment, be sure to let the baby see clearly that there are no other babies or objects in the middle of the road. When your baby jumps, land on your feet and bend your knees slightly.

④ Let the baby move bicycles, backpacks and other items away from the equipment to prevent the baby from tripping over these items while playing.

⑤ If the playground equipment is wet, tell the baby not to play, because the wet surface will make these equipment very slippery.

⑥ When the baby is playing in the playground, do not wear clothes with strings or belts. Strings, backpack straps, and necklaces can inadvertently get caught on the device and cause a hazard.

Understand The Safety Rules Of Playgrounds

Safety Rules For Amusement Equipment

Because swings, slides and climbing frames are each so unique, they all have their own set of rules for safe operation. At the same time, in the playground, there are some equipment that are not safe in themselves. No matter how careful parents and babies are, they are prone to safety accidents.

Swing Safety Precautions

The swing is one of the most easily injured equipment for children in the playground equipment activities. But a few simple precautions can keep your baby swinging in the spring breeze:

Swings should be made of softer materials, such as rubber or plastic, rather than wood and metal.

Your baby should sit on a swing, not stand or kneel. When swinging, let the baby hold the rope of the swing tightly with both hands. After swinging, wait for the swing to stop completely before getting down.

The babies next to you should keep a safe distance from the baby on the swing and be careful not to run or walk around the rippling swing.

Only one baby can sit on a swing, and the usual design consideration for swings is that one baby is used.

Seesaw Safety Precautions

Since the use of the seesaw requires cooperation between two babies, this device is generally not suitable for children under the age of 5. Unless, some seesaws have a spring design under them, which can prevent the seesaw from suddenly touching the ground. Still, extra care is required when playing with the seesaw. Here are some safety tips to keep your baby in mind:

Only one baby sits on the seesaw. If your baby is too light compared to your partner, you need to change partners instead of adding a baby to the lighter end.

Babies should sit on the seesaw face to face, not upside down, back to back.

Have your baby hold the handle tightly with both hands, and don't try to touch the ground or let them go. Keep your feet naturally on your sides, not curled up under the seesaw.

When the seesaw is being used, other babies should keep their distance. Never put your limbs under the upturned board, or stand in the middle of the beam of the seesaw, or even try to climb on the seesaw that is moving up and down.

Seesaw Safety Precautions

Slide Safety Precautions

Slides should be fairly safe if children use this equipment with care. Here are some relevant security points:

When children are playing on the slide, they should go up the steps step by step, while holding the railing, so that they can climb to the top of the slide. It should not be climbed upside down from the slide.

Teach your baby that he should always slide his feet down and keep his upper body upright, and never let his head slide down, or belly down sideways.

In the sliding section of the slide, there should be only one baby at a time, and do not let the baby slide down in groups to avoid crushing.

Before letting your baby slide down, check to see if the bottom of the slide is empty and if there are other babies sitting there? When your baby slides down the slide by himself, he should also get up immediately and leave the slide to make room for the baby behind vacancy.

Climbing Frame Safety

Climbing frames in children's playgrounds come in all shapes and sizes - including rock climbing, bow frames, vertical and horizontal climbing poles, and more.

These devices are more challenging for your baby than other devices, so first let your baby know how to get off these climbing frames safely, otherwise it will be difficult for him to complete the entire climbing process.

The climbing frame is also a high-incidence area of public playground injuries, so when playing, be sure to pay attention to the correct procedures:

For young babies, because their arm muscles are still relatively weak, they need some assistance from adults at the beginning, and climbing frames that are too high are not suitable for climbing.

To play the climbing frame safely, the baby must first learn to hold the crossbar on the climbing frame with both hands, and be able to wait for the baby in front to move forward first, and then move forward with him, and be careful when the baby in front moves , the legs may swing back. When your baby jumps off the climbing frame, be careful not to touch other bars under your feet. Remind your baby to bend his knees and land on his feet when he jumps off.

It is also dangerous to have too many babies climbing the same climbing frame at the same time. Each baby should start on the same side of the climbing frame and move forward in the same direction.

When the babies come down from the climbing frame, be careful to avoid those who are climbing up, don't compete with each other, or try to reach the farther bar ahead.

Babies under the age of 5 have relatively weak upper body strength and should only climb those relatively short climbing frames. Babies aged 5 to 7 are only suitable for climbing climbing frames with a height of less than 1.6 meters, and babies over the age of 7 can only climb climbing frames with a height of less than 2.3 meters.
